Outdoor Activity Instructor Traineeship
Traineeships are co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Social Fund as part of the ESF Programme for Employability, Inclusion and Learning (PEIL) 2014-2020.
In association with Donegal ETB’s Further Education and Training Service, Gartan offers an Outdoor Activity Instructor Traineeship programme. The course runs from September to July each year and operates five days a week for 45 weeks.
The course is aimed at people interested in pursuing a career in the outdoors and trains participants to basic instructor standard across a range of adventure sports such as kayaking, hill walking, powerboating, emergency first aid, sailing and windsurfing. Course fees are subsidised by Donegal ETB and trainees receive a weekly training allowance for the duration of the course.
